Prop Suppliers to the film industry
Magpies supply props to Cornwall's growing film industry...
We were delighted, last year, when we were required to assist several film and theatre production companies. Most notably was the large amount of props we supplied for ITV's second series of Doc Martin. Items were often needed last minute for finishing touches to set designs, with writting continuing throughout the filming. We even rented the desk from our office as it was needed urgently. We were still clearing the draws when a van from Buffalo Pictures turned up to collect it. One of the more unusual items loaned to doc martin was a scan picture of our own twins. When a story line was created that had an unexpected pregancy and then the shock of twins it was us they came to for the props. Our boys are 2 now so unlikely to make the next series but you never know! We were only too pleased to help with this production and look forward to assisting in any future filming of this popular ITV drama.
