Antique Doors

We believe using these period features can create a fantastic feeling in a room, adding warmth and character. From Georgian six panel to four panel victorian doors, all beautifully made using highly figured woods which when waxed look amazing.

Of course originally these doors would have been painted, as pine was considered to be cheap and not as nice to look at as say Oak. Now trends have reversed and stripped pine doors are now the most important item to add back to a house under restoration. We also carry stocks of other doors, lots of which are still in the paint, these can be stripped or sold as seen, offering a wide price range and varied uses from renovation to trade.

If storage is needed, doors come in all shapes and sizes and can be very simple to use in a multitude of situations. From building kitchen units to wardrobes imagination is the key, here it is easy to be versatile with wood. Most of our doors are already 100 years old so you know that unlike a modern door, anything you buy off us will probably still look great in another 100 years time!

Stained Glass

Our range of stained glass and leaded lights compliment our doors. From a fanlight over a georgian door to a stained glass victorian porch, we are constantly aquiring new pieces which are perfect for allowing light to penetrate a room. The colours cast from stained glass or leaded lights as they are hit by the sun are ever changing throughout the day and the year. If you dont have a major project in mind, consider hanging coloured glass on the wall. Subtle colours and patterns add feature to any room.
