Things you want and things you dont. Whether you wish to purchase a specialist product or sell an item to us, we promise that we will do our best to make any transaction a simple process. We are as pleased to see sellers as buyers. If you have something you want to get rid of, get in touch. Dont be put off by an unsual request or worry about offering us something out of the ordinary. Part of the attraction of the business for us is the unpredicabilty of stock, we're magpies and gather odd shiny stock instictively!
Buying from us...
Here at Magpies we pride ourselves on offering a very personal service, upon arrival at the shop you will be greeted by a friendly knowledgeable member of staff, who will help you find what you are looking for, and if you don't need any assistance you will be left to browse amongst the stock at your leisure. A member of staff will be willing to help if at any time you have any questions about pricing.
You will find us relaxed, informative and friendly. Customers are never obligated to buy by pushy sales staff. To this end browser's are not only welcome, but positively encouraged. Our philosophy is simple, excellent service, interesting and competively priced stock and a relaxed atmosphere so that once you've been to our shop you'll want to tell your friends about us. Call in and have a look round. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, Magpies will normally refund your payments as long as the item is returned in the same condition as when it left the shop. Customer's satisfaction is top of our list, so any problems or queries will always be given serious attention.
Selling to us...
Visit us and we'll pay you! We are always on the search for new and interesting items to sell from our shop. Which is why we tell all our customers to try us first when wishing to sell anything Architectural or Antique. We pay cash or by cheque depending on the amount.
We buy an extraoadinary variety of stock, from antiques and curios, furniture, kitchenalia, things for the garden, building materials, architectural items, fireplaces, Doors and Glass.
We'll buy just about anything if we think it might be suitable stock for our shop. So try us first, we will offer you the best price we can for your items and will pay immediately upon receipt of the goods. Please get in contact with details of anything you wish to sell, or better still email us with pictures of your items and we will respond as promptly as possible.
Payment Options
At the moment we are only able to receive payments by cash or cheque and guarantee card. Although we are currently looking into chip and pin and this option maybe available soon if the costs are not prohibitive.
Delivery & Collections
We undertake local delivery and collections ourselves. For a cheap rate you can have your items delivered to your door. For national and international deliveries we use a courier network who offer very reasonable rates to delivery to the UK and abroad. It is our aim to assist you in your purchase where ever possible so we'll do our best to keep the costs down when we can
